![]() N.ALBERTA OilSandsMapShareholder sites in N.Alberta | ![]() LSD Location on DesktopIf the site only has an LSD location, that's not a concern; we have ways to locate the site, either by desktop computer, mobile app, or custom GPS software. |
|---|---|
![]() Large paper mapsWe know that technology is not infallible, and also travel with large (3'x4') paper laminated Oil Industry versions as back up, or better scaling of an area.(Also carry traditional book editions) | ![]() Garmin Rhino w/ GPRSWe have multiple GPS on cellular, and 2 standalone units, one vehicle mounted (which is also portable), and another unit with FRS + GMRS radio capabilities to 5 miles (not IS rated). |
![]() Cellular Booster KitOur vehicle has a mounted cellular booster kit that can add that extra range, a handheld just can't do on its own. Though this will improve range, land terrain still dictates if a signal will be accessible. | ![]() 2 Way Radio (UHF/VHF)We own a VHF vehicle radio for access to certain sites. Note: In order to be on your frequency; your company will need to issue an authorization letter to us, to get the specific frequencies needed, added to our radio by radio programming dealers. |
![]() 2 Way Radio (UHF/VHF)If we are required to have a portable IS (Intrinsically Safe) model please advise us as early as possible, as we would need to rent one, and have frequencies programmed on to it. | ![]() Travel PlannerIt's well known that Western Canada is very spread out, and that there isn't a gas station every other block. Prior to driving to non-urban sites, we will review our proprietary travel planner/checklist, which covers distance from A>B fuel considerations, weather conditions, destination lodging, meal options. To avoid road fatigue sunrise/sunset times are noted, and how long before destination can be reached. |
![]() PLB by ACR ResQLink+We know that emergencies do happen, and they can be outside of traditional cellular coverage areas. We believe in being prepared, and endorse the use of registered PLB (Personal Locator Beacons) to reach emergency services, in matters of life and death. | ![]() Canadian PassportThe technician you need to perform the requested work has a valid unrestricted Canadian Passport, and able to travel internationally, if requested, or required. Please advise us well in advance of any possible work you may want us to do outside of the country, as scheduling and preparation would be required. |
![]() Vehicle Safety Strobe BeaconWe have our own strobe beacon, if no escort vehicle is to be provided, we know that being seen is of utmost IMPORTANCE when on sites where oversized vehicles with tires that can crush a street size truck without even being noticed, is a real possibility. Usually beacons are enough for most sites, but if you require a whip antenna, let us know before heading to site. | ![]() Tow Rope Jumper Cables and Tire plugOff-highway travel presents it's own challenges. Even though we have traversed FSR roads in some of BC most beautiful areas like Whistler Blackcomb, Squamish, or other areas, we know 'things' can go sideways. Culverts, or slick clay roads can send you where you don't want to be. We travel with a snatch/tow rope, tire repair plugs, sealant in a can, jumper cables, and a small manual hand winch. We may not need it, but someone else might. |
![]() Trailer EquipmentThis is NOT our primary service, but should we be asked to, we can transport items to/from a site. The technician also holds a Class1AZ commercial drivers licence, and has experience hauling OD loads, securing and tarping. | ![]() Durango w/ Oversized TiresCompany vehicle is a Dodge Durango 4x4 (gasoline no DECO required), oversized tires, roof modified, carries multiple ladders, a 12' enclosed tube for pipes. A rapid deployment window protection was also made for protection against Alberta hailstorms. Proven effective against baseball size hail in summer of 2016. |
![]() Vehicle Safety Backup AlarmWe understand site safety is critical and that no one needs to end up in the hospital. Our vehicle will be equipped with a open-air backup alarm with full volume db level approved on all sites. | ![]() No Smoking + Seat BeltsWe understand safety has ben reviewed to every angle, and agree that No Smoking and Seat Belts must be worn at all times |
![]() Traffic SignageWe always observe facility signage, and obey. We know that excessive speed on property could be grounds for site expulsion, and we have no interest in that happening. As we are not on site daily, signage will help protect us | ![]() TDG CertificationAttending technician has been certified to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods. This is not our field of service but are safety aware of how to handle this request. |
![]() H2S AliveAttending technician will be H2SAlive trained and certified. (We do not own SCBA, or SABA breathing equipment) We can fit and wear site provided equipment if required. The odourless gas can virtually kill someone in under 60 seconds! We would like to stay alive, and complete the work you requested | ![]() GasAlert MicroclipPlease advise us prior to attending a site if we must bring and wear a Gas, O2 sensor for our safety. As remote well sites, mandate this beyond the front gate, or main administrative office . We would like to stay alive (literally) to complete the work you've requested. |
